A Family Affair

Recently, we made the trek to New England for a few days - a visit to the MFA in Boston, some other light sightseeing, dim sum in Chinatown, a nostalgic day at Story Land in Glen NH, an unforgettable tepanyaki dinner… but the real reason we went east was for my brother’s wedding.

The wedding was at a beautiful historic (and possibly haunted) inn located in Durham, NH. It was Memorial Day Weekend, and the weather was beautiful. We had a fabulous rehearsal dinner, and Saturday morning came sunny and birds singing and breeze in the trees.

And what would a wedding be without a hiccup?

Starting about 20 minutes before the ceremony, the thunder and lightning and downpours began. Some of the portraits were taken in drizzle after the ceremony (and the veil left on its own much to our amusement). And about the time the toasts began, the sun burst through the clouds, but we had already started to party.

Regardless of the Murphy’s Law level of uncooperative weather, a wonderful weekend was had. I adore my new sister, her family was wonderful, and without further ado I want to just share some brief highlights of their big day.

Congratulations, Catie and Terry James!
